: During the steel tapping process, additions are, among other purposes, to desulfurize the steel. Desulfurization is carried out by the slag formed from the reactions of these additions with the steel. The aim this study is to determine the desulfurization efficiency and the ability to protect the refractory from wear these slags. The slag properties evaluation was conducted using the THERMOCALCE and FACTSGE software
